Christa Victoria McFarlin

Christa Victoria McFarlin was born on June 10, 1982 to Vondia Cooks-Pickney and Danta Fontenett in Houston, Texas. Christa went home to be with her lord and savior on July 3, 2023 in Houston, Texas.

Christa grew up and attended school in the Houston Independent School District and Houston Community College.

Christa was introduced to church and was baptized at an early age where she began her walk with Jesus Christ; Christa met and married Marvin McFarlin on February 19, 2015. They were married for 8 years, full of love and laughter.

Christa was loved and respected by many and will be missed by many more. She was previously employed in the Dental Industry as a Lab Technician for many years in Houston, Texas.

Christa was preceded in death by her Step-Father Edward “Bubba” Pickney, Edwin Rison, Grandmothers Vernia Cooks and Lois Rison, and Brother Deonta Fontenett, Grandfathers, Aunts, Uncles, Sisters, Mother In Law, Sisters In Law, and Brothers In Law.

Chrsta is survived by her Loving Husband Marvin McFarlin, Children; Quanisha Daniels and Noah Pollard. GrandFather Bobby Cooks, Sr., Father Danta Fontenett, Mother Vondia Cooks-Pickney, Second Mother Addrenna Fontenette. Sister(s); Tarnesha (Zante) Thomas, KeIra “Monkey” McCain, Ebony Fontenett, Coeshana Fontenett, Janie Fontenett, Quarmica Fontenett, Nakytha’ Fontenett, and Jalisa Atkins. Brother(s); Danta Fontenett, Jr., Deleon Fontenett, and Jarvis Atkins. A host of family: aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brother in laws, sister in laws, cousins, classmates, co-workers, and close friends.
