Brad won his race on earth and came face to face with his Lord and Savior on October 12, 2023, after a fierce, courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family when he laid hold of eternal life.
Brad Atchison, left us all to early, but while here he conducted his life’s passion of helping his fellow man, and fulfilled that as a master mechanic, carpenter, volunteer fire fighter, coaching little league, and a gardener. Brad wore many titles in this early journey. He shared his vast wisdom to all that needed guidance, leadership, or a confidant. He was a diehard Astros fan as well as a devoted Papa.
He fulfilled his final dream building a dragster with his Son Brad, it was a success, late night, a few cuss words, and that S10 flew!
Brad was preceding in death by his Mothers, Mary Lou Atchison, Edna Simpson, Brother Allen Atchison.
He is survived by his bride of 43 years, Sherri, son Bradford Atchison, Jr, wife Amber, Son Justin, all of JC. Son Dennis and sons, Jared, Allen, Robert of Baytown. Brothers, Chuck Simpson, of Arizona, Jimmy Garner of Houston. MIL Jeffie Butler of Conroe, many sister & brother in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Brad spent his life growing his family, friends became brothers, sisters, sons and daughters. Brad lived his life, full, teasing, learning, loving, sparring, and laughing. He lived in the moment leaving a footprint too large to fulfill, a hole in our heart too large to mend.
