Making a difference means causing a change or having an important effect on something, especially a good effect.
Most of us want to make this world better for our family and friends. The world is a colossal task; we must take it one step at a; we can help a person cross the str than and for our communities, but we just don’t know where to start. Making a difference in the world is a colossal task; we tend to look for something significant and meaningful, something that we can control and maybe just do by ourselves. The fact is that it takes a collective effort of everyone making small contributions to start making a difference, we must take it one step at the time.
The size of the contribution is not what matters most, the key is to get things going, to inspire others to join you in your endeavor and be committed to the cause. When is the best time to start? The answer to that is NOW. We don’t need to wait till all things are perfectly aligned (time, people, circumstances, etc.) to start because, more than likely, the perfect time will never come. We all come across opportunities daily to perform a random act of kindness, we can help a person cross the street, feed a hungry person or just give directions to someone who might be lost. In fact, we should see these opportunities as our responsibilities, if we seek ways to contribute, large and small, for sure we will make a difference in somebody`s life, including our own.
We can change the world by helping one person, an animal, the environment or any other cause at the time. We need to turn all our whining and complaining into an action plan. Instead of complaining about the government not feeding underprivileged children, let`s invite some to join forces with others to go feed some of them. It is almost impossible to help everyone in the world, but when it comes to making a difference, nothing matters more than taking action. Use your ability to help and genuinely show your concern and love to the people around you. There are some causes and organizations you can join; they can always use your help:
